About the Owner : Nancy-Linn Nellis , a very successful Innkeeper, retired in Feb. 2006 - having owned and run 3 Inns since 1985. Her first in Pa. and then 2 in Maine. A creative person, she was acknowledged and awarded many honors. She is fastidious as to decor, comfort and cleanliness. Nancy-Linn loves people and welcomes them into her home. Nancy-Linn will make certain you will see the very best - and will find the very best in Maine - as to activities, antiques, unique shops, unknown beaches and she won’t steer you wrong. She knows the coast well from Camden to Castine, to Calais and on to St. Andrews, Deer Island and Grand Manan, New Brunswick, Canada. Very active in local politics and an advocate of Sears Island, ask a question - if she doesn’t know the answer - she’ll know someone who does.

Testimonial:

Recently, I traveled to Stockton Springs and had a WONDERFUL visit at Lilac Place. The accommodations were comfortable, cozy, and Nancy-Linn was warm and just a joy. Before I arrived, I did not have time to really plan what my husband would do while there so I approached Nancy with HELP, what can I do to keep him occupied. She came up with great ideas and we were extremely happy with our stay. The relaxation we enjoyed was so much needed.....I cannot wait to return....Oh Yes, while there we met some of the local business owners and that was a thrill.....the food was fabulous every place Nancy recommended...I highly recommend Lilac Place to anyone looking for a special vacation in Maine...

Hugs to Nancy-Linn at Lilac Place!!!!!!

August, 2009

We enjoyed our stay at the Lilac Place this week,  we are just getting home today and the upstairs apartment was perfect - clean, comfortable, quiet and centrally located for a lot of great day trips- Acadia (Chase's restaurant was as good as you said it would be), Camden/Rockport, Fort Knox and the observatory.   Actually we enjoyed enjoyed Belfast a lot - wasn't quite as "touristy" as some other towns on the coast.   Thanks so much for providing such a great place at a very reasonable rate - it was a welcome relief from the motels we were in the other three nights of our trip.   We will be sure to stay at the Lilac Place again if we get back up that way.

 Regards,

Bruce Timmons, Tennessee
